It's not "dead"! BTW: The Focus SVT will simply be renamed Focus ZX4 ST. So, it didn't get discontinued beacuse "it sucked". Saying something 'sucked' doesn't say too much.

SVT Focus is being discontinued. In it's place they are offering the ST Sedan, which will be powered by the 150hp Duratec 2.3 liter develloped with Mazda, and use the brakes and suspension from the current SVT Focus. The ZX3 and ZX5 will only be offered with the 132hp 2.0 Liter Duratec, which replaces the SPI engine as the base engine.

Why they don't offer the ZX3, the lightest and most "sporty" looking Focus with a 2.3L Duratec is baffling. I have next years brochure here and I have to say, the Focus was never a pretty car, but it's on it's way to being an even uglier car.
