Bought all the pieces at the junk yard today. flat $20. I am so excited. I am going to begin the install, and cleaning process of the piece, it has a little mold on the plastic, and some dirt on it. But nothing the house and a sponge can't clean up. Gotta finish up some LED stuff, then I am outside to put it in. I will take some pictures of everything. I am swapping out my post97 style for the pre98. Still need the cup holders though. Gonna miss my new ones!

Wow that was a lot of pictures. that had to be a pretty damn easy install. Also, I put in the newer style cigaret lighter, with the black ring instead of the green ring!!!

lol, thought everyone would get a laugh at that. Gotta remove the one on the chair or replace the chairs. (think i like that second idea.)

Now you need a billet aluminum switch panel...
Who makes those again?

Just kidding, man. Looks good.

i will be doing this very soon also, but I got mine for $10 from another CEGer, but I need to get boots and a cup holder

did you have to move the wires alot to get everything to work?

also it seems that everything seems to line right up, is this the case? you only had to drill holes to mount the rear of the console right?

also you know how the arm rest comes off?

thanks for the info

Watch those cup holders they SUCK, I already broke one the other won't hold anything bigger than a pop can, or it falls over.

lol, i had those in my 95, upgraded them to the new one. and it still sucked! Don't quite know what to put there yet. the pieces are kinda broke there. probably gonna just blend it in. Anyone know how to remove the arm rest for the chair. Its a big ugly thing if you saw the pictures above.

as for the wiring, didn't have to move any wires. Just plug in the new ones. you will have to change wires if you don't change the cigaret lighters. which isn't fun, requires dremeling. Its very easy to do. Worth the effort and looks way better then the post97 center console. Now for my gas cap, gas cover, and svt gauges!!!
