Since it seems to be rainy season here I've had recurring thoughts about eliminating the driver side windsheild wiper and just using the passenger side to cover the whole windsheild. My question is, how hard is this to do? Is there something that I can fairly easily change so the passenger side will go all the way across?

The only way I've thought of without changing anything is having the blade in the middle of the windsheild so it would move to cover the drivers side, but I want the whole windsheild covered and also don't want a wiper always in my sight.

Probaly cant do that, the Motor is designed to go and do a 90 Degree turn each way... What you would need is so the windshield wiper motor can go 180 degrees in a turn...

As I'm sure you discovered, it is real easy to do. But yes it looks silly. What doesn't look silly is keeping both and painting them yellow.

My only concern is that the wiper doesn't go fast enough for it to wipe properly like this. I guess it either doesn't rain hard in Pennsylvania or you aren't bothered by not being able to see very well. Personally, I like knowing that my wipers wipe effectively when I need it. The Mercedes wiper is cool, but its very complex, and I wouldn't want to deal with the potential of it breaking. The passenger only option is rice, and the wipers probably work great now.

If you want to make a cool looking mod, make a custom cowl and take the wipers off something like a Passat (the really small, covered wipers) and mold the cowl such that they appear flush with the cowl, making it really sleek, while still 100% functional.
