One good thing about the tib is the stock intake is sooo restrictive you can get 10 hp easy from an intake. I wonder if that's where the factory lost the 10hp from the initial ratings???

Seems to agree with what you saw on your dyno for the lightly modded one.

Yeah it has that same stupid dip at the top end. Those cars respond really well to AFC's. The two without S/C had them and each picked up 5-9 hp with a minor adjustment.

I had a run-in last summer with a new Tibby. Actually I posted about it then too. It was very close. I was beginning to pull but didn't have enough street to extend very far into third gear. They have a nice exhaust note, look much better than the older body style, and are fairly inexpensive. However, if you have ever looked under the hood it is pretty gross. The whole engine bay looks like a Tupperware party. It is seriously covered in plastic. Everything! WTF is the point?

off the line it was close with him about bumper ahead. Shift into second and I started walking. Probly 1/2-3/4 of a car ahead by the end of 2nd. Shift into third and I start running away at a surpringly(sp?) fast rate.

by the finish line i'm not sure how far ahead I was. But i'm guessing 1.5-2 cars easily.

all i know is its a tib nuff saud and my stang is faster

as i read on the tib boards the 5 speeds are faster than the 6 speeds
