Unfortunately, now the replacement cats have to be CARB legal AND OBD-II compliant- and those are serious $$$$. This is all "technically" speaking, though. I'm sure if we ripped apart an OBDII cat, and the older one, they'd be exactly the same internally. Damned CARB legislation
