Assuming you have a V-6, the DPFE is an easy to replace part. It's located just below the EGR valve and is bolted to the engine block with two bolts. Access is a little tight, but it is a simple replacement operation.

There are two hoses, one electrical plug that connect to it. Don't mix up the hoses - note their position & re-install accordingly.


Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
