VCT = yes
ZX2 for some reason is the fastest stock Zetec vechile in the US (except for the new SVT coming out...). I don't believe it had anything to do with VCT which gave it an extra 5 hp (which is nice but doesn't make much difference). I think the difference is ZX2 has a Mazda sourced MTX tranny with more favorable gearing than the MTX 75 on Euro-inspired Fords like Contour, Cougar, or Focus.
