Nobody would buy it here for $30k.
Hell, the ST220 costs $40k in Europe.

SES Tauri run 28K and people buy those, whilst the would-be ST220 buyers are paying up to 33K for a 6, so a ST Mondeo running in the lower-mid 30's is reasonable considering what you get. It's such an anti-typical Ford looking product....c'mon whose bored with the "bubble" effect... Also, if they stuck a 5 spd Auto in it, I'm sure ther'd be more buyers

Yeah - they arnt chep in Europe -
But you may be able to pick one up used and import it. Specific regs would have to be looked at but it should be fairly easy as you can claim the ST220 as a limited production model - therefore legal to import as a special interest vehicle

wait until they discontinue the taurus...right now, you can get a bigger, more "practical" car in the taurus for less money.

All you guys need to get down to your Ford dealers with these pictures and tell the sales team if you could buy these you would be throwing money their way, instead of getting the not-as-nice looking Mazda 6. I know how some of you feel about that, cause no matter how much of Mazda Ford actually own, I still want a blue oval on my car. Oh, and by the way, when I am finished with my mk1 Mondeo, I will be getting one of these...

What??? A cross between a Focus and a Passat...
I was never very fond of the new "copycat" body styling.
I prefer the ST200/SVT's followed by the 2nd Gen Mondeos (98-00) and then 1st gen SE's.

at 30k there is too much competition..(would have to be one heck of a bargain) I took forever before deciding on an 04 TL in that price range..

Yeah, I was mixed up with CDN prices. Upper 20's it would have to be. But the TL is such a different car. It's a luxury sedan, whereas the ST is a 5dr sports sedan. Not that a TL isn't sporty, but not as much (in looks, feel and materials used)
