I saw this item on ebay and wanted to know if you guys think its worth it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2475044385&category=6755 anybody heard of this guy or bought a similar product? It sounds kinda pricey, and I doubt I would get any significant gains. How much HP do you think this would give me over the KKM intake kit I already have?

grandmasterkhan is pretty well known over at Fast Cougar. I haven't dealt with him myself, so I will leave that up to everyone else that has.

GMK's a good intake, the original. From what i've heard it's def. worth it. Another guy (N20Coug) made pretty much an exact replica and dynoed i believe an additional 7-8 hp.

I've dealt with him and he's a good guy. Very helpful, and quick to respond to any questions you might have
I just got my extension a few days ago actually.... Only it's made out of carbon fiber!!
I'll post pics soon!

I like the way it looks. Seems like it would help some. After you take a look at it click on the other items he is selling. Don't think it's my size lol.

I'm sure it will work. Even with a heat shield on a KKM attached to the MAF you're still going to be pulling in some hot air from the engine bay.
I have a heat shield for my KKM and in the summer with the AC running my car gets real sluggish if it sits and idles for any length of time once the engine warms up.
The extension allows the engine to pull air from below the engine bay where the air is alot cooler.
However, if you drive you car year round I'd be a little leary about leaving it in place in the winter becasue of the possibility of getting ice build up on the filter or getting dirty extra fast when the roads dry out after a snow strom and there's still alot of sand on the street.

The extension is designed to place the filter inside the wheelwell, outside of the engine bay. It is very well protected from splash, and draws the coolest possible air. Only way you'd flood it is if you tried to drive over a flooded roadway, which you shouldn't do anyway.
Function before fashion.

The one from CC comes with small blue hoses, a smaller than your MAF MAFadapter, a small "resonator pipe" with so-so finished nipples and a generic filter.
I now have a much better AEM shortram and GMK extension pipes.
