Plato, The best idea would be to clean off the filament before trying anything else. It never hurts to check and it's cheap(free if you have the chemicals). Just use electronic parts cleaner. Spray the filament and let air dry. How long have you had the MAF on your car? If it's been a while then it may be your O2's. If you recently oiled the filter or just put it on(they are sometimes over-oiled from the factory) then yea it is probably just a dirty MAF element.
