HERE i was bored looking at old post from last year and came up on this one... its funny how the post seem to be like a revolving door, when i sign up the big talk was about taking badges off and if they had a whole behind them or not and taking the door ding guards off, its interesting how things go on these boards. if it wasnt for these boards i would have wasted alot of money going to the dealers trying to fix the little things here and there.

it died. I have #2 after Darrel and that was the end of it. There was way too much work involved w/ modifying the opening in the fender to accommodate the plumbing than most people would probably want to tackle.
That was one of the reasons of it dissolving away...

Cost was also an issue. People don't want to spend a whole lot on an intake.

if i remember correctly the interest on this project was overwhelming. after Ddavis put the #'s on the site and had some pictures to show alot of us where ready to shell out $$ for it. i think that you,Paul Kienitz, Kremithefrog, LoCoZ, ZetecNinja, ZetecRacing, ButtonPuncher and a few others that are the pioneers of the zetec forum would have spent the $ if the intake had been produced.
cheers Suriel

When did I become a pioneer? About the only thing I got different than anyone else is no a/c and running an UDP, thus I run a different belt size than everyone else. I may or may not have bought it if produced,, I already dropped a pretty penny on the CTA and I hate cutting stuff on cars. We had to dremel about a 1"x1" square outta part of my car once and even that wasn't fun. Though more power is nice.

I don't know where I was when this was supposed to come out...I remember D Davis was supposed to take measurements of my cta intake but then nothing ever happened.
I've already droped the money for a CAI extension, I just gotta finish off the hole.
$160 for CTA + $65 for GMK Extension
