OK, here's the story. '00 SVT 39K miles. About 6 months ago I replaced the IAC valve. I was getting alot of throttle hang, and when I tried the TH mod, it made it worse. So I thought I had a slow to respond IAC valve. It didn't seem to make much difference when I replaced the valve. BTW, I replaced the valve after I did the UIM, LIM cleaning.
Then the car sat in storage for 3 months until about a month ago. Took the car out, and after a few miles of driving, when I pushed in the clutch and was almost stopped the engine stalled. Started right back up. I figured it was just from sitting for a long time, or old gas.
Since then I have filled up the tank with fresh gas a few times, but it is still acting up. When coming home from work, it does it pretty consistantly at the same stop light every day, slowing down from highway speed. The light is about 8 miles from work, so the engine is pretty warm. It stalls so fast, that sometimes I don't notice until my steering gets tight. It always starts right back up and it doesn't happen again until the car is started from cold.
When I run the A/C and push in the clutch, the engine runs up to about 1,800 and hangs for about 15 seconds then settles at idle. I don't remember it doing that before.
I still have a Ford ESP on the car with a $50 deductable, but I don't want to take it in because they will have to screw around with it to get it to act up. Lord knows it probably won't do it for them. So I am asking if someone has any idea of where I can go from here.
