Have you tried checking/testing the IAC valve (even though it's supposed to be new)? I know there's a whole diagnostic routine for this on the ford cd.

Other than that, I don't know how else to test your IAC. You can get a ford cd by pm-ing todras.

Are you burning oil at all? FWIW, I was having the same problem and it appears to have been related to an oil pan leak that I was having. My IAC, TB, intake, UIM & LIM all tested OK. My theory is that on hard deceleration, with the TB closed, the IAC was sucking in all the "burned-oil" air in an attempt to maintain idle. Since the oil-smoke is mainly CO2 & such, the engine was literally choking. I can't back this up with any hard evidence, though.

*HOWEVER* I have since replaced my oil pan have haven't experienced the problem again. BTW, that day, the car even stalled pulling in to my mechanic's garage.

DPFE.

If you have the aluminum casing, replace it if its rusted or badly oxidized.

FWIW, I had the same issue you did.
I changed my plugs and DPFE the same day.

I changed the plugs because the car was skipping cause of the sh*tty a$$ bosch +4's I had in the car.

I would say this:
Since the TPS checked out good, I would check:
- The IAC
- MAF Element
- DPFE

In no particular order.

Ok, I will give it a try. I already have a Ford DVD, so I will have to look up how to test those other sensors. My PCV valve is original, but I only have 39K miles. I may change that for the heck of it.

If you're not throwing a CEL, you may want to check into the Crank Position sensor. My SVT was stalling almost everytime my car came to a stop. I changed out the sensor, because that was a code that was thrown at one time, but had cleared itself, which seemed to be the fix it at first, and then the following day, it wouldn't start. I took my car to a dealership, and they tracked it down to the wires leading to the sensor. The SA at the dealership said they had a hard time find the problem as well, since the car would only throw the proper CE once in a blue moon. I haven't had a problem with stalling since.
