So there is that big of a weight difference? The s80 t6 does some really good burnouts though.

The S80 T6 is about 300 lbs heavier than the S40 T5, but the big loss for it over the T5 is that the S80 T6 is Automatic only, the T5 is a Standard. That extra 40 horsepower just goes out the window with the drivetrain loss of the ATX.

The S80 has considerably more power than the S40 (280/280), however it's quite a bit heavier, and doesn't put its' power down as well and is therefore much slower.
the S80 handles like an old Chrysler Fifth Avenue. don't bother with it if you plan on having fun in corners.
