I have a Duratec with ATX . She usually gets about 24-26 miles to the gallon in mixed driving and between 29-32 if it's all highway. I don't know what my mpg would be if I drove in heavy traffic all the time though because I try to avoid it.

Over the past 150,000 miles, I have averaged 34 mpg in the winter, 32 in the summer with A/C operating. 96 Zetec 2.0 with 5-speed. Mostly highway. Daily commuter. Cruise set at 79 most of the way in and 79 part of the way back each day. Used to push it to 3 digits in a couple of spots in the morning, now rarely.

I just got back from a 1400 mile trip to NY and averaged 29 mpg with my wife, full trunk and backseat and AC on. I was amazed!

I think about 29 city, 31 highway, it is really good mileage.
