Just a wash and no wax and it looks that good? Wow.

Used Meguiar's for many years and it never came close to holding up well at all - especailly over the winters.

That is the best TRed I have seen, very deep color. Lovely.

Why would you care about the durability of any wax/sealant if you neglect to wash a daily driven vehicle for nine months anyway? Had this been an older vehicle you would probably have a rust bucket on your hands.

It's like someone bragging about using Mobil 1 to preserve the life of an engine but doesn't change the oil for 125,000 miles.

Sorry, I had to say it.

Man, this post is stating to look just like the car of the month post

I wish my wife could read this post so she wouldn't keep thinking I'm so crazy for how much I wash and wax my car. Seems to be a CEG sickness!

I use Meguiars Gold Class wax along with the paint cleaner and paint polish products.

You said the key word. Surface prep products. Without proper surface prep you might as well coat your car with mud. Yeah it will look okay but it won't look excellent. IMHO, all the products out there are great. It is all about what you like. Pete made this post to inform NOT to turn into a which wax/snyth is better. In the end SURFACE prep is the key to a perfect shine.

If you had read my post, you would see that I had broken my ankle.

And what you just said proves my point - without the durability of a synthetic wax, the condition of the paint would have been much worse.

I have to say, my daily driver that has only 43,000 miles might look like that from far away, but up close, its already covered in little rock chips. I envy people that don't have this problem, for whatever reason.

Zaino on a car older than some members here. Not too fair it was repainting (cheaply) at some point. Not sure when, but suspect late 90's. It has 157k miles on it and was my winter beast for a few years.
