Ya, so what's the problem with giving a break to the guys who pay the most.
Looks bad when you're dealing with the percentages, take a look at the dollar amounts paid. You're thinking is a bit one dimensional the way you present this. If I'm in the 15% bracket I'm paying WAAAYYY less than the guy in the 35% bracket.
15% of $35,000 = $5250 in taxes 35% of $313,469 = $109,714 in taxes
So a 10% cut for each - which is the SAME by your thinking..
$525 for the poor guy $10,971.40 for the rich guy
So the weathly get a bigger tax break, so what. They EARN MORE.
