I've stayed out of this argument simply because of my lack of knowledge about the subject, but as far as I can see, PDXSVT, you've yet to answer JaTo's and BMR's question...

Quite honestly, you seem like a jealous little punk that hates wealthy people on the outside, but somehow deep down inside, you're also pissed because you're not one?

Even if I'm totally off-base, I would like to hear your answer.

I'm not the richest man in the world by far but am definately not poor! (take whatever you want from that). I dont agree with this BUSH fuzzy math TAX CODE BS..

bs on this bs on your OWNing 12 year old kid GARBAGE!

IF one of the richest men in the world thinks BUSH is a PUNK(unfair taxes albeit benefits him the most) you know there has to be something wrong.

VOTE is getting closer.. for BUSH being the so called "good" "great" leader that he is there are sure a lot of people who dont think so.

You need to educate yourself about Warren Buffet and his political leanings. He's no political conservative by any stretch of the imagination, despite the fact that he's one of the most successful investors of our time.

Ahh, yes, because Warren Buffett is the end all of them all.

If Warren Buffett is a Democrat, he'll say what he wants to say, even if it costs him $100 million.

Also, I don't quite recall Buffett saying Bush is a PUNK. I'd love to read the AP wire on that one. Please share.

No doubt Buffett is a genius, but he's not God. Hell, he sold the dollar when it hit $1.26 per Euro. It topped out at $1.29, now he's at $1.18. Warren Warren, you tried to play a Soros and got bit in the ass. Goodness, I mentioned Soros and Buffett in the same sentence, could it be that....

Same thing was said about Clinton, and he got 2nd term.

Shame that the majority of the country will let itself be brainwashed by all the liberal media into thinking Kerry will be a savior.

Tell me Flech, what will Kerry do for you?

I give you, not the "Citizens for Tax Justice" (whatever the hell that is), but rather the "United States House of Representatives" (I'm sure you've heard of it)

http://www.house.gov/jec/press/2002/10-24-02.htm

Which states that the top 1% of taxpayers, which make $313,469/yr or more pay 37.42% of all Federal Personal Income Tax.

Ya, so what's the problem with giving a break to the guys who pay the most.

Looks bad when you're dealing with the percentages, take a look at the dollar amounts paid. You're thinking is a bit one dimensional the way you present this. If I'm in the 15% bracket I'm paying WAAAYYY less than the guy in the 35% bracket.

15% of $35,000 = $5250 in taxes
35% of $313,469 = $109,714 in taxes

So a 10% cut for each - which is the SAME by your thinking..

$525 for the poor guy
$10,971.40 for the rich guy

So the weathly get a bigger tax break, so what. They EARN MORE.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

I'm using him as an example not the rule so NO he's not the end of all end but an influential one at that.

There is only one entity that is my savior and I dont proclaim Kerry to be it! I don't expect Kerry to do squat for me, I am just not standing by a man who makes this great country sound like an uneducated mass of people at the worst possible time

So, to bastardize a quote from Billy Crystal from his SNL skits, "It's better to look and sound good... than to actually BE good".

That's (or something close to it) is what you are basing your vote upon?

Bush's last televised Presidential press conference was utterly embarassing, but for cryin' out loud, research the issues and don't simply base your vote off of a person being a flunky at public speaking, be they Democrat or Republican or otherwise.

I do agree that Bush has GOT to polish the Hell out of his speaking abilities, or it may well cost him the race due to folks voting on SOLELY what they see and hear at a first glance...
