My Dads old Datsun pickup with a built 289 and a 4 speed. Dont remember much but it was very cool, and was done way before engine swaps in small trucks became popular.
Never ran the 1/4 with it, but a guy he worked with had a old S-10 with a Buick turbo V6 and my Dad handed him his ass by no less than 2 car lenghts whenever they raced. The crotch rockets in town could never get away from him either.
Had a 3 inch exhaust that sounded like no other car I have ever heard since.
I wish he still had that truck
