should mine do it all the time tho? it does it everymorning year round....well i've just noticed it the past couple months...but its been summertime.

Also check your MAF.. Some people use spays, but I like to use a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol. Clean these wires like it was a surgen on your private parts because it's not cheap to replace. 
While looking at the IAC, you might want to check out the other hoses down there. I've already replaced a few hoses that have melted a cracked

mine used to do that, it was the power break booster hose on the manifold and it kinda swelled up which was causing it to lose vacuum makin it run for [censored].

Where is the IAC on a '96 Zetec? I saw a picture where it was under the car (as opposed to another picture of the V6 which had it on top).
