This is just an FYI - avoid Tremaine road south of Britannia in Burlington!
A week ago I was heading home from work, going south on Tremaine. It's an 80 km/h zone most of the way, with a short 60 zone in the middle. I came around a corner in the 60, and an officer steps into the road and flags me down for doing 89 in a 60. She bumped it down to 75 in a 60 ($52.50 fine, no points, minimum offecnce) and sent me on my way.
Today, I'm heading the other way, going to work, north on Tremaine, and I pass a cop heading the other way. He pulls a quick u-turn and pulls me over. Same thing, 89 in a 60. I explain how I was keeping my speed in check due to the previous ticket, and for a minute I actually though he might let me off. No dice - I got another ticket for 75 in a 60.
I think I'll go back to using the 407. I stopped using it to save money, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.
On a side note, I asked the second cop how he nailed me as we were approaching each other, and he simple said "that's how it works". Wierd, I didn't realize that. I thought the cop had to be stationary. Keep your head up and your speed down. I wish I had!
