Colin,

Your advice is really great and appreciated. Thanks. THe underside of the passenger side is actually not a bad place to mount it. My only concern with that location is stupid passengers and snowy boots.

Also, even though bass is not as directional as mids and highs, I don't really want the bass to come from the "right" side of the car. I'd want it just a little more centered.

As for the price -- I can get one for C$300 (a whole lotta money!) but that's the best I've found so far. If I were to go with separate components, I'd probably end up spending over $200 on an amp, $50 - $150 on the sub itself, and I'd need an enclosure. Plus, I'd have to cut out the rear deck (for an 8") or get a box. Then I lose my trunk space (which I need).

I guess all I want to know is this -- will I be disappointed with the performance?

I know it's a pretty weak sub, but I don't listen too loud. It also takes up no space, which is handy.

If anyone out there knows of some alternatives in the $250 - $400 range please let me know. Unfortunately, all of the really cheap online stores don't ship to Canada, and even if they did, I'd get massacred on duty/taxes/shipping charges.

Thanks Colin and all.

Brian
