Q#3 Did you torque the Crank dampener bolt correctly? If not that is the timming sprocket/dampener spining back and forth on the crank. Not good. It could also be one of the accesories or pulleys not being on tight enough or mis-aliagned.
Q#4 possible vacuum sound (did not seal the gasket around the oil pan correctly?) or blow by (which I am kind of leaning towards.)
Q#5 If it is not coming from the motor, where is it comming from? I am thinking with #4 being blow by, you are getting too much pressure in the manifold causing oil to enter the intake via PCV.
That is the only thing I can think of off the top of my head. I know it was not much help, but something to look at.
