Hi everyone,
I just got an Auto Gauge tachometer. I am pretty much allset with hooking it up, except that I need to connect a GREEN wire (on my tach) to a tachometer source. Does anyone know the easiest way to get to it and how it looks? I've searched this forum and my Haynes Manual and couldn't find the exact answer. Also if I hook it up, will the stock tachometer work as well as the aftermarket one?
Thank you,
Igor

The white wire with a black stripe going into the back of the gauge cluster is a tach signal.

I saw that white wire with a black stripe right around the fuse box. Is it possible that that is the wire I'm looking for? Because I couldn't get as high as the gauge cluster is...
Also, I think there's 2 of them....hmmm
Thanks,
Igor

I ran mine right to the ECU harness itself, and tapped the tach wire there. Wasn't hard at all...

I could've just done it behind the gauge cluster as said, but I didn't think of it when I installed it a few years back.

Well Thank you all, today I finally finished installing my tach. The hardest part was to find the white wire with a black stripe... there was at least 5 of them!! I tried each and every one of them... I was about to give up... finally with my 5th try I succeeded.
If anyone has a question on how to install a tach, you can ask me now... hehe
