OP igorek84_dup1 CEG\'er I Joined: Jul 2002 Posts: 124 New Milford, CT, USA	Hi everyone, I just got an Auto Gauge tachometer. I am pretty much allset with hooking it up, except that I need to connect a GREEN wire (on my tach) to a tachometer source. Does anyone know the easiest way to get to it and how it looks? I've searched this forum and my Haynes Manual and couldn't find the exact answer. Also if I hook it up, will the stock tachometer work as well as the aftermarket one? I saw that white wire with a black stripe right around the fuse box. Is it possible that that is the wire I'm looking for? Because I couldn't get as high as the gauge cluster is... Cougar451 CEG\'er C Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 64 NJ	I ran mine right to the ECU harness itself, and tapped the tach wire there. Wasn't hard at all... I could've just done it behind the gauge cluster as said, but I didn't think of it when I installed it a few years back. 99 Cougar V6 MTX...Plenty of mods My best mod thus far: Trans: Brand New MTX-75 with B1 gear set, Quaife LSD, 4.5 Final Drive, Spec Stage 1 Clutch, Spec Aluminum Flywheel...

The hardest part was to find the white wire with a black stripe... there was at least 5 of them!! I tried each and every one of them... I was about to give up... finally with my 5th try I succeeded.
