Got a question. I'm having the same problem (no power mirrors, radio, int. lights, clock)Fuse 34 was blown, but everytime I put a new fuse in it blows immediately. Any help with this one?

Thanks

Just a simplistic guess here, but:

Maybe it has something to do with you power mirrors, radio, interior lights, or your clock?

Can you give some more specific information as to what led up to this? It could'nt have been blowing since you bought the car, right? (well.. I guess it COULD HAVE..)

What I mean to ask is this: Did you recently install a radio? Change out anything in your clock? Mess with, attempt LED mods, or accidently snag a wire in your car?

Any further information would be helpful towards a fix for you..

With the radio issue. If you did put in a new headunit and you spliced the wires, the hot when ignition and/or constant power can be hitting ground now. If jsut one of your wire splices (or wire nuts if someone took a lazy short cut) comes lose it has nothing but ground back there. The entire dash support break is solid metal. For diagnostic issues i would start at the radio and just pull it out and check, most likely the issue.

Ok. When I went to work in the morning it was fine, then when I got out of work my transmitter didn't work along with the radio, lights, clock and p/mirrors. The radio has its own fuse 32, but it's not blown only 34 blows out constantly. Yes I had an aftermarket H/U installed like 1 week before, but everything was working fine up until now. No other wires (i.e clock, lights) were touched. I assumed he had to splice the radio wires even though I already had an aftertermarket H/U prior to this new one.

You say the radio has it's own fuse that is not blown, but the radio still doesn't work. This is rather confusing. Does the radio work once you put the fuse in? I would say to pull the radio out and check the wires. Especial sicne you had anotehr headunit put in only a week ago. It honestly sounds like something was messed up suring install.

IIRC, the cirucit that is protected by F34 is the worst one to locate a short circuit in. That sucker goes to a lot of places.

The only way to find the problem without a proper signal injector is to start locating and cutting loads until you locate the branch that has the short circuit.

Good luck, you will need it.

You might need to find someone to trace out the short. Since it's bad enough to blow the fuse, a person with a good short-circuit tester [I like Snap-On's] should be able to go right to it, for not too big of a fee. Repairing it could be another matter though.

Found the problem, the main dome light was the culprit!! Damn blue bulb melted a portion of the plastic causing two of the metal contacts to...uh...well, contact.
P.S. If anyone has an extra dome lamp "bezel" for an SVT, let me now and I'll gladly take it off your hands.

Thanks
