Only time will tell. I remember just a few years ago when a 1000w amp was unheard of... Technology, innovation, new ways of doing things. If someone wants it and is willing to pay for it, someone will figure out a way to make it.

Have you seen how small the Blaupunkt PA-4100 (100x4) is? Imagine a few years of research applied to this type of amplification... It's also in a plastic case as the heat generated is very low.
