Get an alpine cd player. You will not regret it. The quality compared to my old aiwa is INCREDIBLE. If you have 600 to spend, you can get a very nice one. I spent 350 and it was the best 350 I ever spent. Mine plays mp3 and wma files.

Edit: They are the most powerful decks out there, for even 400 dollars you can get 60 watts per channel and 6 volt pre outs.
