215/45-17 is a better match to original diameter.

205's are usually too narrow for a 7" wide wheel. Go with 215/45/17 or even 225/45 if you know the tire runs kinda small. I've got 225/45 Kumho Ecsta ASX's on my 17"s that replaced my super skinny 205/40/17 Kumho Ecsta 711's.

There's a spot in the freeway on my way home from school that drops about 3 vertical feet the raises back up in about 20 feet. I run through that at 70-75 everday. I've only rubbed once, and that was at 85+. Bear in mind I've got stock SE suspension that puts me way up in the air.

NO! A section ~20 feet long, the road dips 3 feet and comes back up. It's real steep, especially at 80mph!
