I don't know about the Mondeo, but my '96 only has one fuel filter. It is right next to the gas tank, behind the passenger rear wheel.

The fuel filter is $7 for generic, and $12 for premium.

The MAF for my '96 was $151 from fordpartsonline.

You can try cleaning your MAF with some electrical contact cleaner and some ultra soft pipe cleaners. If you can afford it, and are planning on keeping the car, I would replace it.
