I'll have to check if the car's owner had the fix done-- I bought the car used, over a year after the date on the recall. The original owner had a number of recall jobs done on the car, so if I'm lucky, this was one of them...
Otherwise, if it's so expensive that it's less hassle to *buy* another car to get it fixed on, then maybe it's time to kiss this car goodbye soon
