When the lower control arm bushings were bad on my car I would notice a "THUD" when I would go in and out of driveways, epsecially if the steering wheel was turned. I wasn't able to replace the bushings only, had to replace the entire lower control arm. You should check to see if this is also cover under warranty (it won't hurt to ask). I seem to remember they cost about $175 a side.
