140 mph in my 98 E0 on an empty interstate. I then decided to slow down for the fact that I was being stupid for driving that fast.

Jason

still had a little room left to keep going.

120 mph, .. my mother (i was driving)wanted to see how it handled at high speed.

Then she drove the car. Took it up to 110 and loved the car.

We're an old Corvette family so we're kinda used to doing these stupid things.

I'm just glad it was in Wisconsin out in the country. I'd never do that around population.

An indicated 143mph, with only an intake and exhaust. Never tried it with my upped redline and cams.

Where's that retard epooch with the Grand Am. His goes 145mph or something like that

Seriously, indicated speeds are basically useless. Confirmation with radar in two directions is the norm.

And infuryum - I believe that you maybe saw an indicated 143mph - it is extremely unlikely that an intake and exhaust will increase your top end by 16mph from 127mph as measured by Car and Driver. That is - unless you have the special rice versions that add 25hp each wink You said you have no rice!!! laugh

I've flirted with 140mph at least twice. I either run out of open road and have to slow down....or I realize I need to slow up.

135 mph according to the speedo for me before shutting her down. Still was pulling but decided I would be in jail if caught. Bring her up to 110 - 120 on occasion......

Ahh... the beauty of Honda education.

"You're probably right. The four and the two look a lot alike on my speedometer. I probably mistook it."

Wait... scratch that.

Ask any Si owner and they'll tell you the 127mph top speed of the Si is bunk. Or ask the Mustang GT I topped out with who passed me by about five miles per hour. What's their top speed? 145 or so...?

I can go much faster than 127. True, those mods won't net that much of a top speed gain. The Si, however, is gear limited in that we run out of room, given enough road, at around 140 or so, stock. I, for one, have no idea where C&D got their top speed rating. Someone had his head up his ass, though. If you can convince someone from Dallas to do a top speed run with me, they can verify I do run that fast. Call me Forest...

Notice how I don't attempt to educate you about Fords. smile

125. She had lots more. It's still amazing to me how smooth the SVT's operate at that speed. almost scary. Not afraid to admit that I was scared. Did it once coming down out of this twisty mountain road. Another on a nice deserted Cali highway. This is the smoothest "at speed" car I have ever driven.
