BTW, I just had a customer who I installed an MRD-M500 in place of his recently stolen BP1200.1, and it was MUCH cleaner sounding at the same volume he is used to (pretty loud, but not a major boomer.) It thoroughly impressed me, as I have 2 of these amps on Employee Purchase Order for the same 2 subs you are running. Oh, the customer had 2 Infinity Perfect 10.1 subs in a sealed enclosure in a 01 Chevy P/U single cab.

you were going to run 2 MRD-500's for two 12 inch R-types? Will one amp be enough?

Sorry, I've been busy. It will be enough power for two subs and one amp, but I like to run the subs with a lot of headroom. Not driving the amps hard at all, except when showing off (not often.) Either choice will be good with the proper tuning, you probably just need to decide which route you want to go.
1. much power, amp gained down pretty far or volume control used wisely
2. Just enough power for subs. Careful not to send clipped signal to subs.
