You can actually bypass the PATS system if you really want to. You are installing an alarm that is going to have ignition kill, so do you really need it. What I did with mine was took the chip out of my keys and then used a very strong double sided tape to adhere the chip to my steering column. Here's the tricky part you will need to have the chip aligned perfectly so that the car will start. You do this by using the chipless key, put the chip on the steering column and start the car. If the car starts then that's is where the chip will need to be mounted. I did this to my 'tour over 3 years ago and it is still working to this day. Everytime I hit the remote start button on my remote my car starts, Everytime. You don't need to waste your money on those so called bypass modules, because they really don't work.
