OP IonNinja Hard-core CEG'er I Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 8,143 AZ	I've got an older Sony HU and it seems that when I go above a certain volume or change the treble/bass above 0 that it will cut off and then turn back on. Everything appears to be connected correctly so I'm not sure whats up...what are some things I should look for? btw this is a Sony LX250 IonNinja 2005 Saturn ION-2 Sedan 1996 Ford Contour GL - Collecting dust...Zetec project anyone?

Steeda. Captain Impound Boy S Joined: Aug 2002 Posts: 8,281 Skunkworks Autosport	Check your wiring again.. Depending how old of a sony some of the Real old ones are common ground. Other than that it could be a bad interenal amp. Just get rid of the SONY there El-Cheapo

OP IonNinja Hard-core CEG'er I Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 8,143 AZ	i made a mistake before, its a Sony CDX L250 I don't know how I could've screwed the wiring up but I guess I'll have to check it again...I'm not sure how many different ways u can wire up a cd player but never hurts to go back and look. Also believe it or not but this Sony is an upgrade to my Jensen HU so when I actually get this thing working right...I'm sure it will keep me happy for a while. I noticed that it wouldn't shut off while I had the car on but when I had the car off and the key turned, it would...
