I am looking in to getting a S AFC. I was wondering what is the diffrence in the S AFC and the S AFC II?

I am also under the impression that this is a pretty worth while mod, if i am wrong then please correct me and tell me what is a better mod for around the same price.

thanks

The S-AFC is a good unit.

No need to buy the S-AFC 2 IMO.

Yes it is a very useful unit too.

Provided of course you go get your car dyno tuned.

It still hosts some very good gauges and tuning tools though.

How difficult is it to use? I know some about how the engine works but not all the technical stuff. Do you think that i will be able to use it?

also, do you know a good place around the kc/lawrence area to get dyno tuned?

thank you for your help.

I've had both units and I like the SAFC II since it's smaller and I like the displays a lot more. The II has a knock sensor montior plus a higher resolution fuel correction map (the old one had 500rpm increments, the new one has 200rpm.)

Previous S-AFC
*Air correction factor setting point - Option 8 point option
*Air revision engine rpm setting - 500rpm to cut

New SAFC II
*Air correction factor setting point - Option 12 point
*Air revision engine rpm setting - 200rpm to cut
*Drive voltage stabilization of circuit precision - improvement of air flow signal
*Monitor indication optimization - designated item (air flow * pressure) indication
*Knocking level Monitor
*New monitor picture (digital analyzer indication)
*Setting data of 2 patterns memory (you can have 2 settings saved plus one running)
*Correction bypass function
*Warning function
*Password lock function

tune it on a real dyno, not your butt dyno. Once you have the settings right, you really don't have to touch it. Just leave it so you can monitor what's going on.

The other thing about the II is that it lets you have 2 displays @ the same time instead of just one.

It's universal but you'll need Stazi's wiring diagram for the SAFC I and if you get the SAFC II there is one addition wire you have to tap - just search the forums.
