Does the G35 get Brembos like the 350Z?

I think that's my next ride as well. So what do you think of it so far. Do you think it's a keeper? What do you like and dislike about the G?

Really sweet ride!!!!

yep, but only on the 6MT - and similarly i think it's only the 350z track model that gets the brembos over at nissan.

thanks...so far i'm loving it, but of course i'm still in the honeymoon period. shoot, i've only put like 20 miles on it so far. (it was raining last night! )

i love all the features - the HID's, the power everything, the deeply bolstered seats, the 18's, etc. - and the sound is really nice too. it's kinda muted from inside the car, but that exhaust note is just heavenly - sort of a "350z lite" tone.

as far as what i don't like....eh, haven't really had time to figure that one out, but my only long-term question for the car is the utility side of things. the trunk is a bit on the small side, especially since i may be trying to fit a mountain bike in there w/ the seat folded down. but, it's definitely bigger than my miata trunk, so i can't complain *too* much.

it rides pretty well considering the 18's and the sport suspension, which is something that i was looking for for highway trips (though i didn't want to give up much in the way of handling, and i think the G35c is a good compromise there).

the cupholders don't look to be as good as the ones in my jeep were, but then domestic manufacturers always seem to have a leg up on the competition in that department. heh heh.

other than those minor niggles that may not even be issues after a while - i love the car. i test-drove the new TL (both 6MT and 5AT) and didn't like the FWD characteristics (torque steer, etc.) that it had. i drove the 6s, and if i were limited to a lower budget than the G35c, i'd be driving a 6s 5-door right now. that was the only other car i've driven recently that really impressed me. i drove a used 330i and, while most of it was impressive, i just didn't like the shifter and clutch feel. i probably could've gotten used to it - it's not like it was bad; just that it was different - but i preferred the feel of the G35c. the RX8 just didn't make me want to buy one - it's very smooth and capable, and i actually like the looks, but not as much as i like the G35c. the 350z is just too small for an only car for me.

further comparing the 330i and the G35c, the bang for the buck w/ the infiniti is just hard to argue with. to get a similarly equipped 330i, you're spending at least $5k more. ouch. dollar for dollar, i was having to compare a 325i to the G35c - and there just isn't a comparison there imho. w/ the infiniti, i get a dealer that's 3 miles from my house instead of 25 miles from my house (not that that matters all that much, but it will be nice whenever i need to run by there), and better yet i get a 60k-mile warranty vs. 50k on the bmw. maintenance would be a little pricier on the bmw as well.

the G35c was the car that spoke most clearly to my soul when i was trying to figure out what i wanted....as i mentioned above, it and the 6s are the only two cars i've driven in the last year or two that i would own without reservation. the 330i would require some financial justification, and i won't rule out trading the G35c on the next 3-series in a few years.

anyway....there's a few random thoughts for ya. sorry for the length!

too bad the SRT-6 will be automatic only.

i sat in a crossfire and was surprised at the claustrophobic-ness of it....it feels like a *really* small car on the inside. i like the exterior design, and when a local dealer advertised a lease special for $299/mo i briefly considered trading my jeep on one...but only briefly.

nice cars, though.
