As far as I can tell, there would be no benefit to changing over to MaxLife from conventional dino oil until there is a need. If you have no leaks or no oil consumption, why change?
Just to muddy the water a little, I saw an ad today at Kragen for MaxLife full synthetic. It was priced the same as Valvoline's Synpower full synthetic, $3.99 a quart. That might make sense on a high milage engine.
