Last time I checked they sold the YL8E pan. (I.E. not the revised design)

will this revised pan fit a 2.5? i will search around more, but has it been determined that this pan will solve the starvation issues (w/ 6q of oil of course)?

Yes the pan fits both 2.5L & 3L.
No it does not solve the oil problem. It will help though.

wont solve the prob in a 2.5, eh? Hmm...might be worth it sometime down the road, however. Have the 3Ls had any of these problems, or does their extra drainage (from the heads) help/solve the problem?

As far as I know, the 3.0's don't have this problem due to the extra drainage.

where do they drain extra?
Could 2.5L heads be "drilled" to match 3L ones in the drain areas?
I'm getting 2.5L heads done up for my car and was wondering. . .
