I agree with Tony for the amp, if you want a lot of power. Or you could get the MTX 6500 {IIRC that's the model number}, and you could use that to push 2 12" lambda Acoustics PB subs. I would think that 2 12's would move more air than a single 15, yet the box size would be the same. Sound Quality was would be hard to match.. especially for the price. I think if yu added it up total, and bought it at average dealer price it's:
450 for amp
less than 400 for the subs (including shipping), so you're pretty much at the $800 side.
