Side by side, with the exact same amplifier (MRV-T757) My Lambda PB15 completely decimated my friend's Alpine R-Type DVC 15" and cost me $200 CDN less than the R-Type would have. If you are going for an all-one-brand install like his, then I suppose you have no choice, but I would invest the money in a Lambda Accoustics sub over the Alpine.
I do recommend the Alpine amplifier however. They draw very little current from your alternator, and from the examples I've heard the sound quality is way up over the prvious year's model (my T757)
