so i'm getting that USA-6300 AMP 6 channels -
RMS @ 4 Ohms @ 12.9v input 50W x 4CH + 150x1 or 65x2
RMS @ 2 Ohms @12.9v input 75W x 4CH + 300x1 or 80x2

so should i get the BP1001 or BP1002 for this application? i'm guessing that if i just bridge the two channels into the BP1001 then i'll just have 300W to that... otherwise running 2 separate channels to the BP1002 (so 80W/VC) - which is better? i'd assume the prior...

If you bridge the last two channels to the 1001 it will be running at 4 ohms mono, in which case it will recieve 150 watts not 300. Am I right, or is there something I'm missing. The 1001 is a single voice coil. However, if this is the case, it should still sound good. Right now I have 180 watts going to mine, and it sounded great.

I'm not sure if I remember correctly, but if the 1002 is dual voice coil, you can get that one instead of the 1001. But right about now, I don't know if we're ever getting any new drivers from them. LOL

so with the DVC i can wire it up to give a 2Ohm load?

it's been a LONG time since i've played with physics.... frown

Its a DVC with 2 ohms per VC. Either a 1 ohm or a 4 ohm load is possible. I would stick with the 1001.

so i've been searching the forums (ALOT!) on this subject - how does one get to the 2 Ohm number? it seems that everyone gets the 1 Ohm / 4 Ohm deal frown

also, on the blueprint site - it says the BP1002 is a 1.5 Ohm/VC sub... does that make a difference? (the .5 that is smile )

You could try to find a 2ohm sub, or a DVC with 4 ohms per coil.

The BP1002 has a Resistance of 1.5 ohms but the impedance is 2 ohms per coil.
