I also get those. I'll be thinking about someone I haven't seen in years, and then suddenly I'll bump into them, or they'll send a letter to my parent's house, or I'll hear about how they're doing from someone else - all within days after I had thought about them.

Mine involves birthdays/anniversaries. BirthdaysDad: July 4 Mother: Memorial Day (back when it was always May 30th) Me: Valentines Day Niece: Halloween AnniversariesParents: Labor Day Sister: September 11 (not really a holiday, but now it's remembered rather well) My sister was the oddball on birthdays. She missed Armistice Day (what is now Veteran's Day) by 2 days. Loser!

speaking of furniture coincedences, back in South Carolina, two of our friends from different units, and us(hubby & I) ALL had the same darn entertainment center from Walmart. We all got them at different times but close to tax return time, and none of us had actually seen these things in the other's homes before we all got them.

so a guy i worked with named steven smith was in the marines. one day he gets called into the office of the CO, and he tells him "sit down, son". my friend is like "oh crap, what did i do??". so the CO says "we just got the results back from your last physical, and you are HIV+". well, my friend is obviously upset at this news, and said "are you sure it's me? steven h. smith???" the CO looks on the paper and says "yes, it's you son. i'm sorry". well, my friend kind of flew off the handle and couldn't control his emotions, and ripped the paperwork off of his CO's desk. he looks at it with tears in his eyes and sees.... someone else's social security number. there are two steven h. smith's in that camp, and it was the other guy.

Would have been crazier if he said he was a virgin.

Yes, very true. I'll be thinking about someone and my phone will ring with them at the other end. Happened Sunday. I was headed to the folks Sunday morning and I was thinking it was strange they haven't called me to see about what time I was going to arrive. Phone rings. I'll have things wrong with a car out of the blue. I'll read about an issue I have never heard of the week before. If I hadn't read up on it I would have been scratching my head for a long time.

A neighbor of mine growing up was living in Europe durring the Holocost. Everyday she would walk past one of the concentration camps on her way to school and see some kids on the other side of the fence. Often times she would toss her sandwich to this boy that was sitting in the corner near where she would walk on her way to school. They never talked, it was just something she did to be nice. Not long after the boy disappeared and she never saw him again. Fast forward 60 years and my neighbor is now a widdow and is set up on a blind date through one of her friends husbands buddy's, here in the states. They go out and get talking, telling stories about where they grew up and what their lives were like back then. The guy tells her about how horrible the concentration camps were and that most of his family had died there. She follows by telling him of how she would walk past a particular camp on her way to school and would give her lunch away to the kids standing by the fence. After they identified what towns they were living in at the time they realized that they were in fact the boy and girl from when they were young! I believe they ended up getting married two weeks later. Crazy but cool
