All right since we're now talking about family coincidences, I'll add to the post I made a few years ago.
When in college I was awarded federal work study. I went to be an assistant for an older not-so-computer-savvy professor (who FWIW is a wicked cool guy). Turns out my dad worked for this same professor for work study when he went to this college - which I found out after I took the job. Even weirder, this professor's second wife is my great-aunt's sister, on my mom's side.
I have many more weird coincidences involving my college and my family, but won't go into them all.
I also share the same birthday (June 8) with two of my cousins - one born on my 18th birthday, the other on my 21st. Suppose this happens when you have a large family though (21 first cousins on that side).

I thought I ran into myself one day. But it was really a mirror. What's the coincidence? The next day I really did run into myself.

Not so much wierd, but fun. My father was in the Navy in Vietnam. He was a communications officer on the ship USS Oklahoma City. His job was to talk to marines in the jungle and see where his ships shells were landing. Turns out, one of my teachers in college was in the marines at the same time, and believes he had talked my father almost 40 years ago. He said when he saw my name on the roster for class the last name stuck with him for some reason. He never put it together until he heard my buddies call me 'westy', my nickname in college. Turns out, that was my dad's nickname in the Navy!!...and thats how he knew. -Tim

More of a weird story than a coincidence: Roughly a month ago, JD (5Speed3.0SE) was over at my house and saw a chipmunk hole in my lawn right by the sidewalk. There was also a penny and a short stick about the same width as the hole lying nearby, so we dropped the penny down the hole and shoved the stick into the hole after it. The next day I came out to grab the newspaper, and the stick was gone and there was a penny on my front door mat

want wierd? ok here you go
1980: A man by the name of Wayne Kanakry gets killed in a Car accident and the first State trooper on the scene had just become a Trooper like 3 days prior. In hillsdale, MI
Fast forward to 2004: A man name Jason Kanakry(aka SteedaSVT, Decepticon, ME) goes into a Chevy dealership in Woodhaven,Mi thinking about buying a ZR2 Blazer. Test drive it and decide I want it. Hand the salesman my DL and he looks at it and asks if I Wayne Kanakry? I say nope but he was my father(he died when i was 15 months old). He tells me that he was the first officer on the scene when he was killed. So I'm like umm ok, kinda freaked out as it happened like 150 miles from where we are located now. Said that he had just started working after retiring from the Michigan State police and if i buy this car ill be his first sale. I was like umm this [censored] is way to wierd! I gotta go, he hands me a card and says if you would ever like to talk about the accident give him a call.
Freaking WIERD!!!!!

I Went to UMass Dartmouth and one day i was in one of my professors office talking about a project. he pulls my name up on his computer and asks if i am Michael S. GLuck or Michael St. Gluck? apparently there was a Michael ST. GLuck at umass dartmouth in the Mechanical Engineering program one year ahead of me. yet none of my professors ever noticed this and i never ran into the guy.
another one: i have dated 3 chicks from a town called Stoneham. all three of them had the initials J.D.
my ex's name was Jess, she lived in Framingham, was a Biologist, and worked in Woburn. my fiance is named Jess, lived right next to woburn, and worked in framingham, also a biologist.
heres one for jess. we were at the packy a few months ago and jess paid with her debit card. the cashier looks at her and says that her name is also jessica Derry, but with one 'R'.
NY State Trooper: So what makes your car so special to have SVT all over it?
Me: Er...It was made by Fords SPECIAL Vehicle Team?

about 11 years ago when i was 16 this guy who was 18 stabbed me in the chest and i beat him with a baseball bat, he just married my son's mother on saturday, i'm not too happy about that, but it's wierd nonetheless.
"What did you think about that Dorothy girl?"
"The whole Judy Garland thing kinda turned me on. That doesn't make me some sort of fag does it?
"Nah baby, your money."

When I first started dating Mike, I noticed a lot of weird furniture coincidences. I noticed he and his brother had the same bunk beds that my brothers had growing up (he and his brother used them as twin beds separately by then). The bunkbeds were rare to begin with. They looked handmade, so I was surprised to see someone else with the same exact set.
He and I also had the same exact alarm clock, which we both owned since junior high school. He had the same clothes dresser from when he was a baby - it's the same one my brothers and I had when we were babies and my brother still uses it. Mike's is at our house now.
They also owned the same exact crib that my brothers and I grew up with. It was not a matching set to the clothes dresser, which is even more bizarre.
Our paths also crossed multiple times before we officially met (which is even more of a stupid/unlikely story). He lived 2 towns over, but attended the same church I did a couple times. He also attended all of his high school football games, including the ones against my high school - and I attended all of our home games.

Mine just happened last week. I was thinking about the little brother of one of my classmates growing up who was killed on 9/11. Don't know why I did it, but I was browsing the web looking for stories on Chris Ingrassia (and the story that I found on him was based on coincidence).
Not more than a few hours later, I get an email from my mom who says that she saw Mrs. Ingrassia at the supermarket, and she said to say hello. Talk about chills - I haven't seen the Ingrassia's since the day of Chris' service, and hadn't browsed the net for any stories on Chris since, and on the day that I do, my mom runs into his mom.
