I'm sure most of us have had them. The kind that when you experience them you say "Wow, now that's crazy". The reason I'm bringing this up is I had a very weird one tonight. So I thought I'd share.

I play Call of Duty online at a server called Live from NY. There is this guy that plays on there all the time too. His name is Chris. Well so is mine. Oh well thats cool. I live in the Tampa Bay area but so does he. Thats kinda weird but not really worth sharing. Well the last thing is my real last name is Power. And what is his? POWERS!! Plus he is almost exactly 10 years old then I am. I'm 27 and his is 37. I was born in Sept he was born in Oct. I couldn't belive it. We're not related, his name has an S. I have no idea who this guy is. We've just been playing a game online for the past couple of months. I was really amazed when I heard it. Geez, I wonder what kind of car he drives?

When I worked for a Government Summer Job Program the person I worked with had the same name. His middle name was different. His middle name was Lee so they called him Tommy Lee.

It really is a small world. I was in the Air Force going TDY to Little Rock AFB. We stopped at a Cracker Barrel in Tennessee (Coming from SC). Two of the guys I was with was from Texas, 6hrs apart and didn't know each other before joining the Air Force. The waitress we got knew friends and family of both guys.

On 20 January 1986, I started my first ??real job?.  Eight days later, the Space Shuttle Challenger exploded, killing all seven aboard.

After 16 1/2 years at that job, I was laid off.  I started my next ??real job? on 28 January 2003, which was the 17th anniversary of the Challenger explosion.  A few days later, the Space Shuttle Columbia went to pieces, killing all seven aboard.

Alas, that second job only lasted about six months, and I've been unemployed since then.  I guess, when another Space Shuttle blows up, killing everyone aboard, you'll know that I have finally found anotherjob.

As much as I need a job, I think I will turn down any offers of employment as an astronaut

I once had a guy with my name cash out at my register at Wal-Mart. I know because he wrote a check. It's a very uncommon name combination (plus my surname has ye olde traditional French spelling ). The guy was sketchy though so I didn't mention it to him.

On CEG, I share bdays with Stazi and Lance ...

Another coincidence, maxx_power76, is that your 'coincidence' ties strongly with elementary school for me. My second grade teacher was Mrs Powers and my third grade was Mrs Power.

I have FAR weirder coincidences involving my school, family, faculty, and "small world" status, but that's getting too personal...

You remember OJ, right? My father-in-law was the head athletic trainer (medical treatment for and prevention of injuries, not weight room stuff) for the Buffalo Bills for 37 years, from the first season in 1960 through 1997 when he retired. Obviously he knew OJ as well as everyone else who's ever even been camp fodder - the guy's a walking encyclopedic history of the team.

Anyway, OJ has the infamous slow speed chase. The next morning at about 7AM we're having breakfast (I was living with them at the time) when CRASH the framed, autographed picture of my f-i-l and OJ falls off the wall in the other room. The string it was hung with broke cleanly in the middle, as though cut with a knife. Creepy.
