What amp do you have? Are you running it at 1 Ohm? You do know that you are probably never actually getting a full 1000 watts when you are playing music. Different notes and frequences (sp?) require different amounts of power. At least thats how I understand it, although there are much more educated people on here. Rule of thumb is 1 farad for every 1000 watts. IMO 3 farads is overkill.
Case in point- I have a mono amp rated at 300 watts @ 4 Ohms. I have a fuse in the fuse block rated 10 amps lower than I should and have never blown it, and I play my music pretty loud. I just never use the full power of the amp. My sub would blow or sound like crap before then.
