The Vortec kits with shafts are from FPS (Ford Performance Specialists / ala Doug Lewis) I don't know of any jackshaft failures on SHOs. I know they are a pain in the ass. But they are NOT Vortech kits, just FPS custom kits. The powerdyne units are the SHO Shop kits which DO NOT use a jackshaft.....
