How does power output have anything to do the quality of an amp? There are many amps capable of those levels. How about the Audiobahn A18001DQ, which produces 1800w? Is it better than the RF BD1500.1 because it has a higher output?

RF amps of a few years back were excellent. Today, they're average. Their performance doesn't stand out from the rest of the good amps like it used to.

BTW, I'd probably never buy anything RF. I'm cheap, and they're overpriced/overrated. :p

I cant help but think that buying new stuff is a waste of money in audio..That Alpine is 300 bucks,,and i bought a McIntosh that has more power and it was cheaper, they have excellent service and just last very long.

First, show me a SINGLE statement where I EVER said RF amps were of POOR quality.

I said their current amps were AVERAGE in the realm of GOOD amps, and their older amps were EXCELLENT.

If you feel their current amps are "amazing", maybe you should look at other amps in the world of car audio not just Best Buy.

Second, I would not currently buy an RF amp. Their bang for the buck, watt/$, price/performance is LOW. They are overpriced. I'm not saying they're bad, just OVERPRICED.

If you're happy with your equipment (I'm assuming it's gotta be all RF due to your fanatical brand loyalty), that's GREAT! I'm more than happy for you. It's YOUR $$$ to spend on whatever YOU want.

Uhhhh you can sit back down their buddy. I never said that you said they were poor i said that you said they were average. But rockford is beyond average. Nor did i say they were amazing. I was just stating that they aren't as bad as you initially made them out to be.
BTW only my subs are Rockford.
