If you drive as horribly as you type, I'd say you need practice in both.

if you have a sitck man, you can expect it to get full perfomance out of regular shifting, you have to take your shifting to the max man. Usually the main thing to slow times down is the flywheel, because your engine needs to jump back down a couple thousand RPM's when shifting. I know with my 96GL on the 2.0L Zetec it takes a second before the RPM's are dropped down, which is normal on pratically all stock 4 cylender engines.

Yea, a friend and I saw you run your car, I think. If you ran at Capitol like 2 weeks ago. We were looking for you because he drives a 2000 SVTC, maybe you let the revs drop too much inbetween shifts... what did you launch at also?

What kind of tires do you have? What pressure are they at? And what rpm are you letting the clutch out at? I only have the SE 2.5 and I am in the high 14's without my juice. I dropped my tire pressures to 26psi and let the clutch out at 1500rpm, much better than my previous 2500rpm launches! Saved over 3/10ths by doing that! Fidanza flywheels help your engine rev up and down much quicker too. (as per previous post)

LOL!
I'd have to say either there is something wrong with your car and/or you are not a very good shifter (no offense).
My first time at the track I was running 15.5s all day long in 90 degree weather and almost 100% humidity.

The problem with America is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment
for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety
labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
