ok i just recieved my baer kit for the group buy and i am a bit skeptical about the rotors. please tell me if this is waht they are susposed to look like. for some reason the way the drilled teh 4x106 pattern (which can be seen in red on the pic) into the rotors seems like it compromises the strength of the system. someone please ease my worries... Brakes

If the center bores are a zero fit, they're fine. The rotor is then hub centric. No problems.

My alum hats are multi drilled also, there's just little value in car specific applications from a production point.

yeah they came with small aluminum inserts that go into the hub hole so that they are snug. so all is good then?

my baers didn't come like that, 4X108 holes. . .I dunno what to say man, Todd knows his stuff, so if he says it's cool, then go with it, but that's weird, like they screwed up or something. . .check with Chris, he ran the GB right? See if others have the same problem. . .

Guys, certainly I cannot speak for Baer.

However, a multi hole hat is not something new. Assuming the holes are fitting over the studs and the hat/rotor is held in place via center bore, when it's in place and the wheel is tight, all's good.

I wouldn't loose any sleep over it.

keyser wrote me and told me that mine were drilled the same way. i told him that i didnt mind because baer would hardly send out brakes that werent anything but the best. of course, if i die in a horrible accident because my rotors gave out then i will be sad. by the way my 18" rims are drilled the same way and i would expect them to give out way before my rotors.
